Bearing Arrangements for Tillage and Harvesting
Maintenance-free During the Entire Season
A four-point contact bearing with a particularly effective seal was specially developed by the Schaeffler Group for the bearing positions subjected to heavy loads in seed discs.
One of the three seal lips is arranged in a radial direction on the inner ring and the other two seal lips are arranged in an axial direction on a protective washer that is pressed on the inner ring. The washer is positioned in such a way that a defined gap (labyrinth) is created between the washer and the outer ring. This means that the seal lips are protected against damage and additional space is created for a grease chamber with barrier grease.
Complete Unit for Changing Discs Quickly
A maintenance-free bearing unit is available on request on which the seed disc can easily be screw mounted. This special design with an angular contact needle roller bearing enables very high torques and axial loads to be supported. A maximum grease quantity and high-performance multi-lip cassette seals enable maintenance-free and problem-free operation.
