No Maintenance Thanks to ELGOGLIDE
Maintenance-free INA spherical plain bearings with ELGOGLIDE ® have a sliding layer based on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which is characterized by excellent sliding characteristics. The new feature of ELGOGLIDE® is not the Teflon, but the combination of Teflon and support fibers embedded in a resin matrix that is bonded with adhesive to the steel support body. The unique selling propositions of this sliding layer developed by INA are therefore very high permissible contact pressures at very low friction values and absolute freedom from maintenance.
ELGOGLIDE® facilitates a significantly longer life compared with our competitors’ products, especially in the case of higher loads.
FAG spherical roller bearings make a convincing case due to high load carrying capacity, low friction and long lubrication and maintenance intervals. They can compensate misalignments and shaft deflections due to their angular adjustment facility and are available with special coatings such as thin layer chromium plating.
